There are a fairly wide range of Chromebooks still around. Most are now x86 based. ChromeOS is based on Linux so it may be possible to find the source for drivers for any hardware not supported by FreeBSD. I have no idea how difficult it is to install FreeBSD on an arbitrary Chromebook but Google state that they will remain "open" so you can unlock the bootloader and replace ChromeOS with something else. --=20 Peter Jeremy Typed on a Chromebook running ChromeOS --MGYHOYXEY6WxJCY8 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQKTBAEBCgB9FiEE7rKYbDBnHnTmXCJ+FqWXoOSiCzQFAlx1iy1fFIAAAAAALgAo aXNzdWVyLWZwckBub3RhdGlvbnMub3BlbnBncC5maWZ0aGhvcnNlbWFuLm5ldEVF QjI5ODZDMzA2NzFFNzRFNjVDMjI3RTE2QTU5N0EwRTRBMjBCMzQACgkQFqWXoOSi CzSrzQ//bAUNQMnJbyP2/xeV5NdDHFhyrnHFZPbEiA2Bx/Ukm5dDlAl6rudS4i2o V3X8lJnjt0IaeuA7kTdvhFrNYjt7vSDqmWwenDA1vme/uOagXGF6eiSGqAnabQkT sWZpJ501dmv8R+05DIPp4w0IFpgQqsLseCMQMTp72kNQWBpRaSBP8/0qx65B6F3z vHWN9vpC/5F+e+kaWXWZZF+SowXsWYTwZAS193bikqou+nmJ4IXwZb2UUEiKVCpv qVScr7NjThP4LuzSjsQJEdk5y73kfGsSziqPrQ4bxBcJrCR9jN8um347ysiv05KT g7hd6a2HlaKZLxeOE5ZL8BVIyQgQkogZH5/DrkvmNRqohq91zJLj3z+nxA4p6+sT QiR1JRid2O5ffCrAsjBt8vPSfk99bLwYythSf5xf2nq0CrADSaFKLwoJKfphadQM Uv6xctih2Jy9NW0YO0bjIKYuFg3YqYQU2oTXGLjK8uqvDvCYm14BRm7NxH/2lFK8 in6mlW158+Z+R8+HQgW6xPD/hZoiAPvFz29vYXRB8Uqexp+PYNy9lW9+kAi10+xe YxiEB9XUFRZYGjMbYjMT1GMLPBfbWWQAqrjECXC6RTecFPG1AXjqie47vf4MrYRC NpO+DGMjV9bkns4SNhuK6Al+CnuDm9KV3gUVmeeyaOyiwTezqwM= =Do1L -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --MGYHOYXEY6WxJCY8--
