I believe Sam actually has a first pass at doing this in Perforce
somewhere.  The first step towards making that happen was the recent
MT_TAG cleanup.  I know Max has expressed some interest in looking at that
further also.  So hopefully this is something in the queue, one way or the
other.  :-)
