hi,

If i launch mysqld_safe, i expect it goes in background, but it doesn't.
even statring /usr/local/bin/mysqld_safe& just puts out the pid.

root@freebsd# /usr/local/bin/mysqld_safe&
[1] 5433
root@freebsd# Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/db/mysql

...and that's all. usually, i expect it goes in background and i could
close that shell. did i miss something? it's just a fresh install from
ports, initing with mysql_install_db and mysql_create_system_tables.

Thanks for any help
Roger
