I would think FreeBSD will be around in 5 years, and continue to be around much longer than that. Espcially now that BSDI has aquired FreeBSD. That is very good thing. We run both BSD/OS and FreeBSD here mostly but we have a few linux machines running also and they both have their weakness/strengths but BSD just seems more elegant than Linux that appeals to me. >>What does this mean? Doesn''t Freebsd have a kernel also? They both have kernel's. FreeBSD and all the program/utilities are made with FreeBSD in mind and are integrated specifically for FreeBSD.
