Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii X-Mailer: Mutt 0.89.1i Sender: owner-freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG Precedence: bulk X-Loop: FreeBSD.ORG Hi all, I was wondering if anyone else has had any luck with this driver/Ethernet controller combo on 10baseT/UTP media. My experiences are as follows: -stable: the stock driver doesn't work, but the driver listed at www.3am-software.com does work _if_ I specify the media manually. -current: the stock driver doesn't complain about anything but doesn't work. ifconfig says: de0: flags=8c43 mtu 1500 inet 131.155.146.107 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 131.155.146.255 ether 00:80:5a:15:e6:9b media: 10baseT/UTP status: active supported media: autoselect 100baseTX 100baseTX 10base2/BNC 10baseT/UTP 10baseT/UTP (OACTIVE looks suspicious to me here.) Using this driver I can only ping the local interface, nothing else. The 3am-software driver gives all kinds of (non-trivial to fix) compilation errors on -current and hence I am unable to build a kernel containing it. Thanks for any insights any of you may have to offer! Cheers, -- Jos Backus _/ _/_/_/ "Reliability means never _/ _/ _/ having to say you're sorry." _/ _/_/_/ -- D. J.
