Everything went smoothly. In the interest of completeness I decided to do a make world. This unfortunately did not go smoothly:) While compiling /usr/src/gnu/lib/libreadline I get a large number of multiply defined symbols (in histfile.so terminal.so input.so macro.so undo.so kill.so util.so readline.so histexpand.so histsearch.so and history.so). I'm not quite sure where to go from here. I do notice that there is also a libreadline directory under contrib... Is this a known problem/anyone have any suggestions?
