Hello,

on our two systems, bpdu frames (spanning-tree) are ignored. We can't even =
see
them with a tcpdump.
We're running two pfsense firewalls in version 2.4.2 (freebsd 11.1-Release-=
p4)
as HA and in bridge mode. Because the pfsense systems ignore the bpdu frame=
s,
both think they are the root bridge.
If we boot a linux live system, everything is ok. We can also see them in
tcpdump.
tcpdump command used: tcpdump -i ixl1 -vvv -n stp

We also investigatet the problem with a pfsense gold partner and they ment,=
 we
should report it upstream.

Used NICs:
ixl0@pci0:5:0:0:        class=3D0x020000 card=3D0x00068086 chip=3D0x1572808=
6 rev=3D0x01
hdr=3D0x00
    vendor     =3D 'Intel Corporation'
    device     =3D 'Ethernet Controller X710 for 10GbE SFP+'
    class      =3D network

Switch: WS-C3850-24XS
Switch Firmware: 16.3.3
