You can take it any way you want to.... The fact of the matter is that many  
hackers use that technique to acquire access to systems that they then hack  
at.  A friend of mine had that happen to him just this spring.  Being a good  
guy all of a sudden got him to where he had to reinstall his whole system.

If Linux is so much better why are you looking for a FreeBSD shell?
