We don't use anything newer than RELENG_4, yet. However, a modified
patch went into RELENG_4 (rev. 1.94.2.3). In my eyes it wasn't 100%
semantically correct, but it did its job. The respective source code
has changed quite a bit in RELENG_7 (probably RELENG_5 and RELENG_6,
too, but I didn't look), mainly because of the introduction of kernel
threads, and as far as I can tell from looking at the code the problem
doesn't exist there. But I haven't tested it.

Regards,

    Uwe
