Unlike with OpenBSD, with FreeBSD you do not have to write a disklabel to be able to mount an MSDOS slice (primary or extended). If you were mounting an extended partition under Linux you would mount /dev/hdx5 or /dev/hdx6 and so on. With FreeBSD extended partitions start at /dev/[s/a]dxs5. Good luck again! -- Remo
