Hi,

I use FreeBSD, 4.6 release on an Acer TravelMate613TXC notebook.
My feeling is, it is superior compared to Linux!!

I only have a problem with the sound card (Intel i815):
If I load the corresponding module into the kernel (I'm using the standard kernel without 
modification) I get the following response from dmesg:

195# kldload snd_ich.ko
195# dmesg | grep pcm

During booting the soundcard probably appears as
pci0: <unknown card> (vendor=0x8086, dev=0x2445) at 31.5 irq 10
