I followed the handbook's i810 section carefully...

1)edited /boot/loader.conf
agp_load="YES"

2)made the /dev/agpgart device

3) followed normal configuration
#XFree86 -configuration

Computer screen goes blank, keyboard stops responding. Upon reboot, the new
config file "/root/XF86Config.new" is empty.

I have also used the text configuration tool to no success.
Any Ideas?

Running FreeBSD 4.6.2-RELEASE
