Subject: 4GB harddisk / old bios / 3.0-release = only 2GB HD?

I have an old computer, (the bios doesn't support harddisks larger than 2GB)
and I installed freebsd 3.0-release on it.

In windows, which the computer was previously used for I could use the whole
4GB by using a seperate program from the drive manufacturer (WD).

But this program doesn't work with FreeBSD, it only sees 2GB. Am I doing
something wrong or should I use something else?

Edwin
