[/home/paul]# mount_cd9660 /dev/acd0c /cdrom
mount_cd9660: /dev/acd0c: Invalid argument

Yes, both exist.

/cdrom: directory
/cdrw:  directory

Do the nodes look to be the right sort of thing?
/dev/acd0c: character special (117/0)
/dev/cd0c:  character special (15/2)
