Apropos a question asked earlier:

We've just learned that the surplus 4586NP changers being sold for
$695 may not be fully compatible with Seagate's current product.
This specifically applies to those sold by Corporate Systems Center
(which did not make any such claim to us).

In our case Seagate is sending us a DAT with the current firmware
on it (the DAT can update its flash memory).
