Actually, I found it a little ambiguous as it could have meant either:-

`have the "replaced" == "one that has now been replaced" (ie "superceded")'

                      or

`have the "replaced" == "one that is now replacing" (ie "new" or "current")'

Since I've been following what's been happening I was able to understand
your meaning correctly.

However, I'm responding for other reasons entirely. Your plea for people
to keep mirrors up-to-date has prompted me to report a problem with a
copy of the CVS tree I'm maintaining via ctm deltas. About 2-3 months
ago, I grabbed a copy of the tree from a local site which was mirroring
wcarchive. Because various deltas have been failing, I'm now aware that
there are gaps in the tree which still exist on wcarchive today. The
following directories are empty:-

1. FreeBSD-CVS/ports/archivers
2. FreeBSD-CVS/ports/pkg
3. FreeBSD-CVS/ports/templates
4. FreeBSD-CVS/src/Attic
5. FreeBSD-CVS/src/TODO-2.1

This list is not necessarily complete. It is just what I've stumbled
across so far. I've managed to beg/borrow/steal the first three missing
chunks and keep my tree in sync by hand editing things. So far ctm is
still happy with everything under /ports. The last two hit me when I
tried to apply cvs-cur.2229.gz. There may be others.

I would appreciate it if you could pass this report on to whoever maintains
the copy of the CVS tree on wcarchive. I've also checked some of the
official mirrors (eg ftp3.freebsd.org) and the same directories are empty
in their copy of the CVS tree.

I'm sorry to have to load this on you as I know how busy you are. I have
mentioned this to a number of other people and have reported it on -hubs
some time ago. Hopefully, you will know what to do with it.

Cheers,
