Well .. I've always had several tabs opened  and with versions 7x wasn't
like this.

It became like this with 8x versions.

For the record, it doesn't consume this much right from the start. It
starts at 1,5 G and within about 40 min open, it jumps to 5+ G, even if I
don't touch it.
