It's very cheap on the used market (see ebay or the list @ isp-equipment.com), and with capacity at over 1000 ports in a 10U chassis, it's very compact. The components it uses are the same as used in the APX8000, so there's a clear upgrade path, and I expect that Lucent will continue to develop for this platform for quite some time. The only gotcha, is that firmware past 9.0.x will require a service contract. -- Troy Settle Pulaski Networks 540.994.4254 - 866.477.5638 http://www.psknet.com > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG > [mailto:owner-freebsd-isp@FreeBSD.ORG] On Behalf Of FreeBSD isp > Sent: Thursday, August 15, 2002 3:04 PM > To: freebsd-isp@freebsd.org > Subject: digital signal processor > > > I can't find a newsgroup or google search on pros-and-cons on > v.90 servers. > > I presently have a Livingston (oops Lucent) PM3. > > Is there any other brand out there which performs more reliably with > the v.90 protocol, or are all about the same? > > -- > FreeBSD isp feed directly mailto:paz@qcislands.net > > > > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org > with "unsubscribe freebsd-isp" in the body of the message > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-isp" in the body of the message
