Hmmm... Are you sure it's wise to spin the drive down? - My laptop running
FreeBSD rarely survives it's pre-CAM ide drive spinning down and backup
again?

At the risk of being _way out_ - If spinning the drive down, then up kills
the system, don't do it? ;-)
