Subject: changing io adress for lpt0 in kernel?

I've gone through GENERIC and LINT, but can't find a way to change the
io address used by the parallel port. IBM ships using 3BC rather than
178. I can change this in the bios, but then it's different for
Windows (is that a problem?). Since I'm putting out a kernel
config file for this model, I'd like to just change where
it looks.

Can this be done?

thanks
