You are correct - TWO files are created: <directory>.zip,
<directory>.zip.asc.

I would like to request that the <directory>.zip file be deleted after
the encrypted ".asc" file is created. There is no real need to keep it
around, and it confuses the issue of 'encrypting an entire directory',
when the original directory is not removed.
