Ahem.  I'm sorry, this was simply a brain-o..  I looked at the code in
this case and said "this can't possibly fail, I don't even need to
test it" and I committed it.  Mistake, of course.  I forgot that
msgGetInput() returns a pointer to a static array which is clobbered
between calls.  Whoops!  Password laid right over username and that's
all she wrote.

I fixed this one a few hours ago and will be rolling a new set of
floppies soon!  Quite a few more problems fixed, actually.

AFAIK, only Suns use this by default.
