I would not rule out a hardware problem - seg faults while compiling heavy=
=20
code (ie big C++ projects :) can be indicative of memory/CPU/PSU/motherboar=
d=20
problems.

I'd suggest running memtest86 and prime95 for a few hours if you can.

I'll start a build of qt4-gui on a 7.1 box I have but it will probably be a=
=20
while before I get an answer :)
