It's this bad everywhere..welcome to the 21st century.  In fact 99% of
spam is bounced by freebsd.org mailservers, which are hit with an
attempted spam about once per second.

P.S.  Hint: if you reply to a spammer you're basically a fool and will
only score yourself more spam.
