I just put together a dual p3 1ghz machine with the Supermicro motherboard P3TDL3. I have a USB KVM switch that I have connected to it so I can switch between this new server and my workstation. I have had problems with the USB keyboard working on my workstation and the work around was turning off USB legacy support in the bios. In the bios of this super micro board there is only one USB option and that is on or off. Nothing about legacy support at all. It works for me at boot loader so I can boot the OS but the keyboard won't work once freebsd boots up. If I use my ps2 keyboard I can go in and type /usr/sbin/kbdcontrol -k /dev/kbd1 /dev/null , then it starts working again. However once I switch to my workstation on the KVM switch and then switch back the keyboard doesn't work again. I have to type in the kbdcontrol command again. This is a very situational problem so I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help me very much, but anything would be great! Thanks a lot, -Kyle To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
