https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D210187 Bug ID: 210187 Summary: remove @ from list of forbidden gecos characters in pw_user.c & improve pw(8) docs Product: Base System Version: 11.0-CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Only Me Priority: --- Component: bin Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: dch@skunkwerks.at Created attachment 171261 --> https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=3D171261&action= =3Dedit patch v1 This trivial patch allows storing internet style email addresses in the gec= os field. I cannot find a reference online anywhere that dictates what is & is= n't forbidden, apologies if some pedantic standard from the 1990s does so. Whether the code change goes in or not, I'd like to improve the documentati= on to pw(8), currently included in the patch. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
