I did have a kernel from before the new malloc and it still seemed quite=20 sluggish. I remember being stuck because a commit to the AGP driver on=20 20/12/05 prevented the nvidia driver building. Only yesterday did I revert those changes and built a new kernel & installe= d=20 it. Unfortunately I don't have any logs or top/ps output from before the new=20 kernel :( =2D-=20 Daniel O'Connor software and network engineer for Genesis Software - http://www.gsoft.com.au "The nice thing about standards is that there are so many of them to choose from." -- Andrew Tanenbaum GPG Fingerprint - 5596 B766 97C0 0E94 4347 295E E593 DC20 7B3F CE8C --nextPart1412008.oSxvlfVJ3c Content-Type: application/pgp-signature -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBD3oeN5ZPcIHs/zowRAl4VAJ0YEIrZd/j8NGXqAD5WGqj+9qSWHwCaA05x QU8QDIRo4178+pw+XZfdIwE= =CAIF -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --nextPart1412008.oSxvlfVJ3c--
