Well, if you're upgraded any of the build tools (perl, gcc, make) on your
machine, then things may break.  Also, the odd error sometimes creeps
into -STABLE which causes compilation to fail.

This isn't a problem with the cvsup'd code or your build tools.  This is a
problem with bad hardware - usually memory.
