I had a good look at that - I seem to remember a post (possibly by this author) stating that it in fact only worked with the TNT chipset (which is not a problem from my point of view). The no interrupts, no DMA is a bit of a problem - I want to push the interface pretty hard (the chip is capable of ~8M/sec), and PIO isn't going to make me very popular 8) Looks like I have some work ahead 8) Thanks for the pointer. > Peter -- ]] Mike Smith, Software Engineer msmith@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] Genesis Software genesis@atrad.adelaide.edu.au [[ ]] High-speed data acquisition and [[ ]] realtime instrument control (ph/fax) +61-8-267-3039 [[ ]] My car has "demand start" - Terry Lambert [[
