This shows the fruits of my work of reducing the conflicts. ;-)

The latter, please, not the least because I'm sure that Kris will start
automatically checking for conflicts at some point not too far in the
future. ;-)

We need to make sure this happens before installation, not afterwards,
or we'd be in troubles with other lang/gcc ports (whose info files we'd 
overwrite).

I reported that over a month ago. :-(  I you could send a mail to the
list an Frank Ch. Eigler <fche@redhat.com>, I'd appreciate that; perhaps
with several people complaining we'll get a bit more traction.
