I use it in production, and find it works quite well.  This, however, is a
debate everyday on the netatalk-devel list.

It supports AFP 2.x but not AFP 3.0.  What this means is that MacOS X
clients don't get the luxury of long filenames, UNIX perms, or Unicode
filenames.

It supports DDP and DSI/TCP.

Not really.  Of course, the fun part is getting the resource fork and
data fork to coexist.  Like I said, I use netatalk in production, and it
always works well for me.

I maintain the FreeBSD port, and am active on the developers list.  If
there are problems, we usually fix them.
