I suggest you to bug the maintainer (obrien) of editors/vim to tweak the 
Makefile by add options of gtk2 and gnome2 defines. I didn't contract with 
obrien, because I can't take the deal with him anymore. gtk2/gnome2 are 
already included in the VIM 6.2.xxx, which I compiled them by myself with 
the gtk2/gnome2 support. ;-)
