I'm not seeing this problem. What version of Mozilla are you using?
What version of XFree86? Do you have /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc in
your FontPath?

I'm using Mozilla 1.0.rc1 under XFree86 4.2.0 on 4.6-PRE just fine.
