You should take a look at the vtun port
/usr/ports/net/vtun

For the latest build/faq/configs look at
http://vtun.sourceforge.net

I'm currently using it to connect two diffrent lans over
the internet between two freebsd firewalls. Works like
a charm.

Search the questions mailinglist on freebsd.org for
a how-to on setting up the tunnel.
