Doing a buildworld on a live machine is no problem, since it doesn't really change anything. It'll slow down the rest of the machine a good bit, but other than that, it doesn't have any real affects. It's probably not the best idea to do an installworld on a machine when it's working too much, but if it's fairly quiet, there's no real problems. All the machines here we do an installworld off a central build server, so they go down just long enough to reboot. *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* | FreeBSD; the way computers were meant to be | * "The only reason I'm burning my candle at both ends, is * | that I haven't figured out how to light the middle yet."| * fullermd@futuresouth.com :-} MAtthew Fuller * | http://keystone.westminster.edu/~fullermd | *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-* To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-stable" in the body of the message
