Some months ago I post a question in the acpi list and seems that have no solution.... My problem is that I have an acer 5050 notebook witth FreeBSD 7.0 STABLE cvsuped 3 days ago... the atheros wifi still is not recognized by the acpi code, an upgrade to the last acpi (acpica) does not work too. the acpi is unable to map the pci register... of the mini-pci atheros... the message is : ======================================== ath_hal: 0.9.20.3 (AR5210, AR5211, AR5212, RF5111, RF5112, RF2413, RF5413) ath0: irq 16 at device 0.0 on pci2 ath0: 0x10000 bytes of rid 0x10 res 3 failed (0, 0xffffffffffffffff). ath0: cannot map register space device_attach: ath0 attach returned 6 =========================================== please note that it finds the irq but not the device (0.0) on pci2 Is there a solution??? this notebook is so bad (buggy bios) that FBSD 6.x does not boot the Xwindows, and Linux does not install too... the ONly systtem that boots is FBSD7.0 and FBSD8.0.... and of course windows XP... that I am not interested in. Thanks for your attention, Sergio
