I installed SMAC and Kohan and they both installed fine and run great. 
These are the only 2 I have that don't rely on 3d acceleration. Plus, I 
love Kohan - it's a great game!

Just mount the cd and run the setup program with 'sh setup.sh' and the 
system will do the rest.
