I do not know of user ppp being able to distingesh between voice or data with not answering the ring. I want to be able to both receive calls and be able to dial in to the network (not at the same time perhaps, but without having to change configurations). I'd like this to work similarly to the way a fax machine will "listening for modem tone" but happily allow voice calls to continue ringing on through to the handset.
