Yes, Xemacs comes with "vm".  Also with "gnus' which should be
read about too.  Start Xemacs, type "F1 t" to run Xemacs tutorial
(an hour or two) to learn the basics.  Then type "F1 i h" to learn
the "info" (help) system (a few minutes is enough).  Then use
"info" to read about "vm" and "gnus".

And "gnus" has hooks and you can make new ones, pluse more other
stuff than you'll have time to learn about.
