I just replied to Jonathan Lemon's mail describing why I think it doesn't look like bad cabling, wrong duplex/speed settings or bad hubs. I'm fairly convinced that my fxp cards are to blame. Either a bad batch of cards or a rather marginal design that doesn't like hubs (or cheap switches)...
