To: questions@FreeBSD.org Date: Wed, 15 Mar 1995 13:16:05 -0600 (CST) X-Mailer: ELM [version 2.4 PL24alpha3] Content-Type: text Content-Length: 710 Sender: questions-owner@FreeBSD.org Precedence: bulk Hello, I sent email a few months ago about XFree86. I have a Gateway P90 with a buslogic PCI SCSI controller, and a STB 864 PCI Video accelerator. I have FreeBSD and XFree86 installed but am having difficulty in getting any resolution greater than 800x600 to work (I also have a 17in Vivitron Monitor). Also the system seems to run very slloowww. When I move the mouse to a different window there is a great deal of delay. The average load is continually up at around 4.00- 5.00 when X is running. There is even a great deal of delay when I run g++, or a small program, or an 'ls'! Can anyone help me here!! Anyone else out there running FreeBSD on a Gateway2000 P90? THANKS! Paul
