A PWS can have a 2MB and a 8MB (IIRC it was 8) cache module. I used to have
2MB modules in mine. In doing buildworld tests with and without the 2MB
cache on a 600MHz PWS I observed something like a 10-15% wall clock
elapsed time improvement.

If you want to have a recent measurement please ask des@freebsd.org,
he now owns one of my 2 PWSs ;)
