this patch was mailed to the maintainer two weeks ago, i'm just trying
to get feedback, if there was a reason why it hadn't gone in....  whether
it got lost in the shuffle somewhere, was rejected, or whatever.

additionally, this isn't the only patch to a2ps which has gone unapplied. =

pr/24743 has been sitting around, with a patch in the audit trail since
30 Jan 2001.  As such, I thought it might be appropriate to ping the
maintainer and find out what's up.
