cmp(1) says that the "EOF on filexxx" message is printed to stdout but
it is actually printed to stderr.  I don't know whether the program or
the man page corresponds to Posix, but the program appears to be
consistent with other unixes.

Run cmp on two files one of which is an initial subset of the other.
Observe where the message is printed.
