The 'c' partition is "Magic" (for now) add an 'a' partition with teh same values next to the 'c' part and change the fstab to use it instead (leave the 'c' one there.. you always (for now) need a 'c' just don't USE it for filesystems etc. just use disklabel -er /dev/rsd0s1 to do this.
