Hi Gurus! I have posted this message to comp.os.386bsd.questions but still have't suggestion. I have the problem with swap under FreeBSD1.1.5.1(RELEASE). In case of heavy load swap doesn't release even if the load's gone away. Is it a known bug in FreeBSD 1.1.5.1 ? I have looked through patches and find nothing appropriate. I show my conf file below. ------------------------------------- machine "i386" cpu "I486_CPU" ident HOST timezone -7 maxusers 50 maxfdescs 2048 #Max file descriptors per process options "NCONS=4" options INET #InterNETworking options ISOFS #ISO File System options NFS #Network File System options PCFS #MSDOS File System options "COMPAT_43" #Compatible with BSD 4.3 options XSERVER #Xserver options UCONSOLE #X Console support options GATEWAY options MFS #working in swap area like in disk options FIFO options SYSVSHM #SYSTEM V shared memory (for X11) options COM_BIDIR config "386bsd" root on wd0 swap on wd0 and sd0 dumps on wd0 controller isa0 controller fdc0 at isa? port "IO_FD1" bio irq 6 drq 2 vector fdintr disk fd0 at fdc0 drive 0 disk fd1 at fdc0 drive 1 controller wdc0 at isa? port "IO_WD1" bio irq 14 vector wdintr disk wd0 at wdc0 drive 0 device sc0 at isa? port "IO_KBD" tty irq 1 vector scintr device npx0 at isa? port "IO_NPX" irq 13 vector npxintr options COM_MULTIPORT #Enable multiport support device sio0 at isa? port "IO_COM1" tty irq 4 vector siointr device sio1 at isa? port "IO_COM2" tty irq 3 vector siointr device sio2 at isa? port 0x100 tty flags 0x905 device sio3 at isa? port 0x108 tty flags 0x905 device sio4 at isa? port 0x110 tty flags 0x905 device sio5 at isa? port 0x118 tty flags 0x905 device sio6 at isa? port 0x120 tty flags 0x905 device sio7 at isa? port 0x128 tty flags 0x905 device sio8 at isa? port 0x130 tty flags 0x905 device sio9 at isa? port 0x138 tty flags 0x905 irq 2 vector siointr device lpt0 at isa? port? tty irq 7 vector lptintr device ed0 at isa? port 0x280 net irq 5 iomem 0xd8000 vector edintr pseudo-device ddb pseudo-device loop pseudo-device ether pseudo-device log pseudo-device sl 2 pseudo-device pty 16 pseudo-device bpfilter 16 pseudo-device swappager pseudo-device vnodepager pseudo-device devpager #options USER_LDT #allow user-level control of i386 ldt Thanks for help. -- Konstantin Telegin E-mail: tke@sable.krasnoyarsk.su Phone: +7 (3912) 276793
