[BACKGROUND]
I certainly have some problems with heat on my personal FreeBSD 5.0
server located in a small closet to reduce the noice.

I also have one of my clients in the same closet (No, I'm not forced
to work in the closet myself... yet!) and the temperature inside the
closet when both computers are running goes up to 42(c) 108(f)
degrees, which I think is a bit too much.

The server has a lot of harddisks and I don't use them all every day,
one is for example only for pictures, and is accessed perhaps a few
minutes a day.

[QUESTION(s)]
Can a harddisk be set in hibernate/low-power state when used under
FreeBSD 5.0?

Any other ideas about heat etc?
