I don't pretend to be an expert, but the other day I overheard our GIS guy casually
mentioning that several big CAD software houses these days provide their own web
server software to publish their files on the web. Bentley does something like
that (http://publisher.bentley.com/) and I'm almost sure Autodesk does too. But now 
we've gone entirely off the topic of this list.
