Said PC is partitioned with a small Windows 95 area as = well. Under Win 95 I can successfully get a PPP connection to the Sun, = hence any problem with the Sun, Modem, PC etc is ruled out. = Authentication in both cases is via login to the Sun. As far as I know = no CHAP/PAP is involved. Under BSD I connect OK and appear to get a link. I can ping my side of = the PPP, but not the sun. ppp.conf and ppp.linkup entries are similar = to ones that are proven to work with other links. I can see the = transmit light come up on my modem when I ping the Sun. I've turned on = debug logging and for every packet 'pung' PPP writes the following to = the log:- CCP: Received Reset Request (n) State =3D Opend(9) CCP: Recv Reset Req CCP: Send Reset Ack This repeats with (n) incrementing for each packet 'pung'. Snooping further I notice that ACCMAP for the Sun side is FFFFFFFF but = zero for mine. Both numbers are zero when I dial another 'working' = site. I've tried setting ACCMAP to FFFFFFFF on my side but to no avail. Time for expert help. Any suggestions ?.
