It appears the receive list for the ethernet card is overloading.  I
believe that value was bumped recently; try grabbing a new
src/sys/pci/if_xl.c out of -STABLE or -CURRENT.  

What model of 3com, specifically?  The 3c900s have a tiny, tiny amount of
onboard buffer space.
